Our campaign to raise funds for resurfacing the courts got off to a fantastic start a couple of weeks ago with our third Auction of Promises.  This auction broke all previous records and raised the grand total of £6465 – a wonderful achievement.

Thanks to all those who donated ‘lots’ to the auction and, of course, huge thanks to all who came along and bid to buy them.  The atmosphere on the night was brilliant with nearly 50 members crammed into the clubhouse. 

Our campaign has started well, now we need to keep the momentum going.  Our next event is the Pre-Christmas Quiz next Friday 4^th December at the club starting at 8.00pm.  Come along and join the fun – even better get a team together (of up to a maximum of 6 people) – it promises to be a great night.  There will be a small charge of £5.00 per person (or £20.00 per team) to join in – and the bar will be open all night.

On Saturday 19^th December Chairman Roger King is hosting Christmas Drinks from 7.00pm, so whatever you’re doing on the last Saturday before Christmas, pop down to the club and have a drink.

In the New Year we plan a series of social and fundraising activities.  The aim is to hold an event on the first Friday of every month – although perversely the January event will happen on the second Friday in the New Year - 8^th January 2010.
